Radiant woolly members of the family Camelidae are native to the central Andes and typically live at altitudes between 3000 and 5000 meters. They feed in the daytime on the grassy plains and spend nights on the slopes. Thus, if you go to the mountains in the day and sleep in the valleys, you’ll cross paths with them going and coming. That would be good both going and coming back.
